I am thrilled to announce that my latest AI short film, The Final Drop of Water, has been officially selected by the Festival Larissa Lumina. This recognition is a milestone not only for me as an AI filmmaker, but also for the ongoing exploration of how artificial intelligence can reshape storytelling and cinema.
A World Without Humans
The Final Drop of Water is a dystopian short film that imagines a future where humanity has disappeared. Only robots remain, carrying in their helmets the last living creatures on Earth—tiny goldfish, fragile yet luminous custodians of memory. These creatures guide their mechanical vessels through a dying world where water, the very essence of survival, is vanishing drop by drop.
It is a story about legacy, fragility, and the thread between life and machine, told entirely through AI-generated video.
How the Film Was Made: Vibe Prompting
Interestingly, this project was created 80% with simple text-to-video generation, through a process I like to call Vibe Prompting.
Instead of starting with a fixed script or detailed storyboard, I embraced a more open, dadaist approach:
Character Design: I began by iterating inside MidJourney to develop the main character—a robot with a damaged, weathered armor and a head made of a fishbowl.
Blueprinting with ChatGPT: To maintain consistency, I asked ChatGPT to generate an advanced JSON prompt that captured the essential features of the character. This served as a “blueprint,” ensuring the robot remained recognizable across different scenes.
Iterative Video Creation: Using this blueprint, I generated multiple videos of robots sharing the same design DNA but in different contexts. Each output became a starting point for the next, creating a chain of evolving visual narratives.
This method allowed me to be guided by the AI itself, rather than locking the process into predetermined paths. It was almost like a creative improvisation with the machine—a dialogue where the unexpected was not only welcomed but essential.

Naturally, this technique works best for abstract, atmospheric narratives, where the dramaturgy centers on the presence and evolution of a character rather than on a precisely structured storyline. Yet working with AI also means understanding the grammar of its tools—knowing which workflow, which technique, and which degree of control can be applied successfully in different creative contexts. It is not only a question of technology, but of sensitivity and strategy: the ability to choose when to let the machine surprise you with unexpected visions, and when to guide it firmly toward a predetermined narrative architecture.
Why this short film is Different
This is one of the very few films where I applied Vibe Prompting so extensively. The experience was liberating: instead of forcing the film into a rigid structure, I let the AI surprise me with unexpected narrative solutions, textures, and atmospheres.
The result is a film that feels less like a traditional production and more like an AI-driven performance of storytelling—a space where chance, randomness, and serendipity become part of the artistic process.
